STORYThe story takes place in 204X in Utah, years after the now defunct Fazbear Entertainment and it's biggest attraction the Freddy Fazbear Mega Pizzaplex was destroyed in a earthquake, when a a human finds the animatronics that went missing years ago in a alternate dimension called Flipside. For mysterious reasons, the kid will go every night into said dimension to uncover the truth and put themself at risk with the dangerous animatronics. In this game, every enemy can be "defeated" nonviolently, but it's YOUR choice if you want to make this choice or rain destruction upon your foes.

GAMEPLAYExplore a alternative dimension inspired by Undertale's underground with new areas, level progression, and expansive locations rich with old and new content across 5 (or more) playable nights/chapters. In the way you will find familiar foes, where everytime you find a new character it will be added to your files, where you can get to know more about from NPCs to Bosses. There's also gameplay mechanics from both Undertale and Deltarune implemented, but there's new original mechanics introduced in this game.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: When will the game release?
A: If you are talking about the release date of the full game, we are not so sure, but if you are talking about the first night you can expect at the end of 2027.Q: What happened to FNAF: Beneath the Dark Underground and FNAF: The Horror Attraction/The Twisted Underground?
A: First of all, this is the reboot and improved version of the last one, and when it comes to the last one... well, allow me to explain. Krosis (one of the creators of FNAF: BTDU) decided to focus on other things and gave the ownership of the AU to Katy so when the time came to reboot FNAF: THA/TTU she decided to merge both AUs into one. So yes, this is a sucessor to FNAF: BTDU and FNAF: THA/TTU.Q: What program is Under the Stage begin made in??
A: GameMaker, just like Undertale and Deltarune!Q: What plataform are you releasing the game?
A: Gamejolt!Q: Is the game going to be free or paid
A: Since this a fan-made non-profit project, it's obviously going to be free.Q: Can i make fanart of the AU
A: Of course!Q: How long has this project been in production?
A: FNAF: THA started in 2018 while BTDU started in 2017 so more than 8 years ago, even before Deltarune Chapter 1 release.Q: Can I make videos on Under the Stage?
A: Of course! Just credit any of our pages in the description.Q: I want to help the project/be part of the team, how can i do that?
A: Send a DM to Katy (KatyGuerreiro on Discord) and show your work to her.Q: Can i make my own FNAF AU?
A: Absolutely! We don't own the concept of a Five Nights at Freddy's and Undertale crossover AUs, as long as you don't call this your take on Under the Stage and instead you have your own name, you are free to do anything you want with it!

Five Nights at Freddy's 12th Anniversary/August 2026 Devlog
Introduction
Hello! First of all, let's all wish Freddy Fazbear a happy birthday, it's been 12 years since FNaF1 released which is really nuts to think about. This game changed my life in ways i can't explain and i am what i am today because of Five Nights at Freddy's, so despite all the mistakes made along the way, thank you Scott.Second, this year marks 8 years since the birth of the original AU. We are getting old honestly. And last, yeah we are doing newsletters like Toby Fox does every month for Deltarune. This will be the only time where i will ping everyone, if you want to get updates go on roles and choose "UTS Alerts" so you get updates every time there's something new about Under the Stage. With that said, let's get into the newslatter.
Story
When it comes to the backstory written for the world and characters, it's basically done, the story will start "a long time ago" or at very least in the 1940s and will end in the 2040s post security breach era. Lots of elements from the original Five Nights at Freddy's timeline (from what we know at least) will be changed in order to make a story that fits with Undertale themes and what my vision for the project represents. When it comes to the story in the present time when the games takes place, while i know how it begins and ends, there's still the road in the middle that i'm still planning carefully that there are details that need to be decided. The story of the first chapter is basically complete, it's just more of the game design itself which i will talk more later that needs more polish. For me the biggest challenge was trying to not make this a undertale reskin and feel more like a Five Nights at Freddy's story told by Toby Fox, obviously this wouldn't be a Undertale copy paste considering there's the character of William who doesn't replace anyone and has his own arc in the story, but my point still stands of using Undertale as a base but not copy every single element.
Gameplay
I'm currently testing waters in Gamemaker, but for obvious reasons this is the most ambitious project i ever done on the program, so anyone who knows how to use it feel free to contact me in the DMs! The most important thing i can talk is that i already know every single mechanic used in this first night, there aren't just undertale or deltarune mechanics here, there will be exclusive mechanics that don't exist in neither games so everything feels fresh.
Music
I'm currently waiting for not only the songs of the first and other chapters to be done, but also it's thumbnails to be completed, so like in the gameplay part i'm currently recruiting people who know how to compose songs!
Visuals
Battle sprites are almost done too for this first chapter, they just need to be animated, which will look really amazing. You will see that they are robots at the end of the day. What needs to be worked on the most are overworld sprites, both characters, objects and tilesets. The first night map is going to be huge, i want every night to be at least 2 hours long like a Deltarune Chapter, so lots of work still needs to be done.
Languages and Translations
The main language is American English (with characters like the Aftons using British English), but i'm also planning on release to have both Portuguese translations (from my country Portugal and Brazil) which i still need to see how i will use gender-neutral pronouns to make sure everyone is comfortable. I hope we can translate to Japanese too since that's one of the two languages Toby wanted his games with, but also other languages, however that will take time since i need to approve every translation to make sure they are right.
Conclusion
There are still alot to be done and obviously don't expect a release date this year, and if you want to join the team as a programmer, artist, composer etc. feel free to send me a DM (KatyGuerreiro on Discord) and we will find a space for you in the team!
Undertale 11th Anniversary/September 2026 Devlog
Introduction
Hello everyone! I can't believe it's been 11 years since Undertale released. Words can't describe how much this game has impacted my life, and many of yours too! With that said, let's get into the newsletter or devlog, whichever you prefer.
Story
I don't know if you noticed, but two new characters were introduced in the roster: Eleanor and the Yellow Rabbit from Fazbear Frights. You're probably wondering how much this will affect the story, and all I can say is that the backstory written for this AU isn't affected by these changes. However, the story that takes place directly in the game is, and in fact, I feel that it's enhanced by these changes.Me and the rest of the team are cooking up a lot of new ideas and discussions, so prepare yourselves for what's coming!
Gameplay
I can officially say that we've already started coding the game! It's nothing crazy, what's already been done, but it's a start, and we're excited to keep building from here. We already know all the mechanics that will be introduced in this first night (and in later nights as well), but without spoiling too much, some of the mechanics are the same ones we see in the Into the Pit game, and I don't want to be that person, but I already had these ideas before that game came out.
Music
On the OST side, we also have lots of songs ready, but they still need thumbnails before we can share them with you properly. Alongside that, we've been working on some of the sound design too, since we want this game to feel distinct, by combining old sounds from FNaF and Undertale/Deltarune and new sounds made for this game only.
Visuals
When it comes to sprites, things have been progressing quite well. The focus is on the overworld sprites, since this is what you'll see the most in the game. There are also battle sprites which are being made and animated, and I'm sure you'll love to see those too. When it comes to artwork and concept art, there's lots of stuff that I would like to share with you as well, but unfortunately there are spoilers in there, so I can't share it yet. Once we're past those spoiler-sensitive points in the story, we'll start posting some of it, so keep an eye out for that.

Languages and Translations
Since the game isn't finished yet, there's no room for translations at this stage, but we already have a couple of translators from across the globe on board. My personal wish is that we could get a Japanese one too, since it's the secondary language of Undertale/Deltarune, so if you know anyone or you are someone that can translate the game to japanese please contact me!
Conclusion
Like i said on the previous devlog, there's still lots of work to be done and don't expect the game to be released this year, but we will keep you updated every month so you won't miss anything! That's about it for this devlog! As always, thank you for the support, and we'll see you in the next one.
